Wieliczka Salt Mine was opened in the 13th century and as one of the world oldest salt mines - it has been gathering salt for over 700 years. The Salt Mine is placed on the UNESCO list, it is one of the most beautiful facilities of this type in the world. It reaches almost 327 meters below the ground and has over 287 kilometres. You will walk through 20 chambers taking increadible journey for over 1,5 hour.
Besides admiring magnificent timber construction, lakes, chambers and majestic corridors, your visit will also have a positive effect on your health. Get ready for an amazing trip to Wieliczka Salt Mine!
Good to know: There are about 800 steps on the route, including 320 steps at the start (way down) - please put on comfortable shoes for the conditions on the route. The temperature underground is about 17-18ºC.
